Oftentimes you just simply can’t put away enough quality calories during day to achieve the mass gains you dream of – and especially not without a little help from the likes of nutritional supplements such as protein shakes and mass gainer products. These will not only provide you with the additional proteins and carbohydrates you need but a lot of the good products are fortified with branch chain amino acids (BCAA’s), vitamins and minerals: crucial for lean muscle gains.
For those of you looking to build some serious mass and add on some impressive kilos, or need to pack on a few more quality calories into your diet, the following is a Mantality Editor’s favourite recipe for a calorie stacked post-workout shake that doesn’t compromise on flavour one iota.
For Your True-Mass Gainer Shake You will need the Following:

Stick all those ingredients into a blender (along with 2x cubes of ice) and blend for about 30 secs. What you’re left with is one of the smoothest, creamiest and best tasting mega mass builder protein shakes ever. I neck back one of these every morning (post-workout) and have to admit that I actually look forward to it each day.
Substitute the banana with whatever fruit you have available, and also add in fat free ice-cream, yoghurt or frozen yoghurt if you fancy.
