Once you`ve tried the tandem you will want to jump time and time again. If you feel your independence taking over then try Static-line skydiving. This is suitable and very safe for novices who yearn for the adrenaline rush of parachuting. The static-line skydive is completely hands on. Here you will jump, fly and land completely on your own! The entire process from beginning to end is the ultimate in achievement.

Here`s how it works -

You will attend a course lasing approximately 4-6 hours. Here you learn that you will wear a parachute that will be attached to the aircraft by a static line. This is a super strong line approximately 7 - 10 ft long. As you jump, the static-line automatically opens the parachute for you. After 5 seconds you are hanging under a fully open parachute, which you then fly. You will then land your parachute as guided by the instructor on the ground.

Location: Nationwide

Who: Although you do not need to be fit, you need to be in good health in order to participate. This experience is not for the faint hearted. You should not suffer from any chronic/critical disorder or be pregnant. The maximum weight for a static-line student is 105kg, heavier persons at the discretion of the Instructor. Parental consent is required for jumpers under the age of 21.

Numbers: This is for one person only. It is highly likely that others will be participating in the experience with you.

Weather: This experience is weather dependent. You are advised to call your experience vendor before you set out on the day. If the experience is cancelled due to the weather, you will be allowed to rebook.

Additional info: This experience includes the ground instruction provided by a qualified tandem master, the tandem master's fee, packing fee (Tandem Chute), hire of equipment and in most cases a certificate.

This package does not include transfer fees.

If you'd like to capture the moment, most clubs have video cameraman who can accompany you on your jump. This is an additional charge at your expense.

You will be required to sign an indemnity/waiver before completing the jump.

Your safety is of utmost importance at all times, all instructors and experience vendors have the necessary and recognised qualifications as well as affiliations.

This experience also includes a booking fee and electronic gift pack.

Duration: Allow a full day for this experience. The training is likely to last approximately 4 - 6 hours.
