This incredible Rally Self Drive experience starts of with an introduction session lasting about 25 minutes. We tell you all about the rules, a bit about drive-lines, rally car behaviour and then the most interesting - how to use the Route Notes for when you will tackle your first Special Stage just like a seasoned rally driver! After this, one of our specialist drivers will take you around the track to show you something about “racing lines” and point out the dangers while you try and memorize the lot!
Then you get your turn to get behind the steering wheel of a rally car. This is your chance to do four orientation laps over the route you will be doing to get the 'feeling' of the car, its power and behaviour on gravel. Then follows what you have been waiting for - the chance to open up the Subaru Turbo-power under the bonnet and get the sensation of a real adrenaline rush during the amazing performance of a rally car driven in anger!
Then comes your big test - you will have to drive through Rally Special Stage! This is when you will experience what it is like in a rally car when the team competes under pressure! Your professional navigator will call the instructions at machine gun speed and you will have to interpret them as your drive through a special stage you have never seen before! This is where you need to keep your cool! Instructions come flying, you will have to listen to one call, interpret and apply it, while you have to listen to the next one, remember the previous one .....take in another…..awesome! This is real fun, but afterwards you will have new respect for the ability of rally drivers to do all these things at high speed!
Then, just to make sure that we managed to release all the adrenaline possible in you, one of our master drivers will take you for a special bonus hot lap over the specialist rally track to cool you down! All this in a powerful Subaru.
Includes a light meal and Certificate.

Who: All participants need to have a clean drivers licence, be in good health and over the age of 18.

This experience also includes a booking fee and electronic gift pack. Rally Driving is an extreme sport each participant is required to sign an indemnity form. You'll share driving cars with other participants. You can expect to wait for a maximum of 5 other people to have their turn – watching the others and enjoying the banter is all part of the fun!
There will be opportunities for participants friends/family to join in the fun too! Lots of great photo/video opportunities – action, close ups, etc. to capture on the day.
Duration: Allow 90 mins to 4 hours depending on group size.

Depending on the size of your group, normal sessions start at 10h00, but will be confirmed by Rallystar after your booking.
The adrenaline filled day starts of with an interesting introduction session during which we discuss the sport of motor rallying and the incredible experience of participating. A few things about car control, some rally related stories and the magic art of driving!
We also tell you about the rules for the day and chat about driving-lines through corners, rally car behaviour, what to do and what not to do, and a few things in general.
We will also explain the use of the Route Notes so that you are more familiar with them when you will tackle your first Special Stage just like a seasoned rally driver! See also the general rules for more on the notes!

Then comes the real fun when you get the chance to drive through a proper Rally Special Stage partially used during a national championship rally over roads you are not familiar with!

Summary of Experience:
Briefing Session: 30 minutes
1st Run - 4 x Laps (Approximately 6km)
2nd Run - 4 x Laps (Approximately 6km)
3rd Run - Navigation Special Stage (Approximately 6-7km)
4th Run - Hotseat Spin by Pro Driver (Approximately 4km)
(Sessions will start at latest 15 minutes after scheduled time if customer is late. If a client is more than 30 minutes late, his booking will be cancelled.)
Rally vehicles used for sessions:
• All of our vehicles are more or less on the same performance level and capable of approximately the same stage times.
• All cars are rally specification class N4 or class A7. Vehicle makes include Nissan, Subaru and Volkswagen.
• Vehicles are rotated and any of our vehicles may be used on any given day, depending on the size of group and availability.
• One rally vehicle can be used for groups up to 10 people. We always try to have at least two vehicles ready.
• All rally cars are fitted with roll cages and rally safety belts.
• Participants take turns driving with the instructor and all participants remain on same level up to completion of the session.
• All vehicle have manual transmissions.
Included in experience:
Light lunch (hamburger/boereworsrol) – enquire when booking for special dietary requirements.
Rally Self Drive Certificate
Duration:
Self-drive sessions last about 1 to 3 hours depending on size of the group.
1 – 2 people: 1 – 1.5 hours
1 – 4 people: +/- 2 hours
1 – 6 people: +/- 3 hours
What to wear:
Venue will supply a balaclava and protective rally helmet on the day. Wear comfortable light clothes and thin flat-soled shoes. Preferably wear a shirt with a collar.
Age, Weight and Height:
Minimum age is 16. Participants under the age of 18 need an indemnity signed by a parent or guardian in our presence. Maximum weight of a participant is 120kg. Persons with a length of up to 1.9m can fit into the rally cars quite comfortably. Max waist measure approximately 48cm.
Weather and Availability:
Remember this is a weather related activity and excessive rain can cause postponement or cancellation of sessions.
Vehicles can break at any time even while we take special care to have cars running at all times, the non-availability of and/or un-obtainable spares are major factors. We do carry some spares but cannot guarantee speedy repairs.
Please remember instructors can become ill, cars can break and the track can wash away.
If sessions are stopped due to mechanical failures or for any other general reason the remainder of such runs will be rescheduled to future dates. Clients agree that although we will do our best to accommodate them on suitable dates, this will not always be possible.
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome and it is recommended to bring a camera to capture the excitement. Please note that all activities take place outside and it is advised not to bring small children or people who are not feeling well. Conditions can be very dusty, warm or cold depending on weather season. Please make sure you have sunblock and a cap or hat for protection against sunburn.

We are situated 7km outside Benoni on R51 (40 min drive from Johannesburg and 30 min drive from Pretoria)

Sessions can be stopped due to unacceptable behavior of a customer and no refund or rescheduling will be done.
