The spherical MFI (Made for iPhone) Black Diamond is so much more than your average phone charger – simply slip in an iPhone with the custom-made Black Diamond app enabled and it comes to life as a gorgeous, sound-sensitive mood lamp! Please note: this is not an iPhone speaker but a mood lamp and docking station that gives added functionality through the free App available from iTunes.

Specifically designed to work with iPhones, the Black Diamond is a truly modern mood lamp. To enable it for use, simply visit the iTunes App Store and download the free Black Diamond launch app. You’ll then be able to choose between a range of lighting effects – Plasma, Breath, Rainbow, Lightning, Flames – before slotting your iPhone into the dock and watching as the colours it emits glow through the shadowy Black Diamond and transform it into a stunning space-age mood lamp! Want to change the light setting? Simply tap the diamond twice and the built-in sound sensor will activate the next mode; tap again until you’re happy with the setting chosen. You can even clap or knock near the device to change the setting. What’s more, if you connect the dock to your computer using the USB cable provided, it’ll simultaneously charge your phone as it shows off its colour-changing abilities, so you never need worry about your handset’s battery running flat.

As well as charging your iPhone, the Black Diamond features both a sleep function and an alarm function – ideal for either helping you to drift off or waking you up at a specified time. And finally, because the USB cable it comes with is specifically designed to work with iPhones, you can even use it to synch your handset with iTunes via your computer if you haven’t done so already.
