App Controlled Perfect Drink Maker

“I don’t care how liberated this world becomes – a man will always be judged by the amount of alcohol he can consume – and a woman will be impressed, whether she likes it or not.”

That great and amazing quote comes from one of the most underrated manly movies of all time called Cocktail. It stars a sane and somewhat normal Tom Cruise before he went nuts and gave every college kid a line to say to that one professor he hated (“you couldn’t hack it in the real world”). It made being a bartender something to be admired and desired while giving it a strange poetic justice. As Tom Cruise makes his way up in the world of bartending, you quickly begin to realize how little you know about making drinks. Sure, the two ingredient drinks you can do all day like Jack and Coke, Rum and Coke, Vodka and Coke (see the theme?). But when somebody asks you for an Alabama Slammer, we’re guessing that you will just blankly stare back at them. If it isn’t a two ingredient drink or something that comes in a frozen mix, men won’t know how to make it.

There is now an answer for all of us nitwits that don’t know the ingredients or how much to pour. Brookstone has brought us the Perfect Drink App-Controlled Smart Bartending gadget which is really a long name for an awesome app that syncs with a weight scale. You simply open the Perfect Drink Maker app and it goes in the order in which you pour the different ingredients of that drink into. As you fill the glass, the weight scale will tell you when you have hit the proper amount ensuring you don’t over pour (or under pour) your guests. The idea is great and would be an awesome conversation and party starter for any home. We imagine it might open your mind to some new drinks too and allow you to try something other than your delicious Apple Martini. Click here for image source and where to buy.
