David Mellis has released these blueprints for a DIY phone that can make and take calls and text messages, store names and numbers, and display the time. The total cost will come out to around $200 so it’s not like it is really a steal, but it will be the only one of its kind on the block. If you have a little bit of skill, a decent amount of free time, and a desire to standout, skip the Apple store and get to building.
